Upon your arrival at Ahmedabad airport, you will be assisted and transferred to your hotel. Ahmedabad, founded in 1411 and known as the 'Manchester of the East,' is situated on the banks of the Sabarmati River. You will have an overnight stay at the hotel.

The second day is dedicated to exploring the architectural delights of Ahmedabad, including its exquisitely carved wooden mansions, havelis, and labyrinthine lanes. You will have the opportunity to visit the Calico Museum (with prior permission, closed on Wednesdays), discover the Jama Masjid and Sidi Mosque, visit the Gandhi Ashram, a key historical site, explore the impressive Adalaj Step Well, and enjoy the vibrant Evening Market. The overnight stay will be at a hotel in Ahmedabad.

After breakfast, you will drive to Vijaynagar, visiting Taranga en route. At Taranga, you can explore the Jain Temples, one of the finest clusters of Jain temples in India, located 85 km from Balaram Palace Resort on a hilltop offering pristine views. The Ajitnath temple, built under the patronage of Solanki Rajput King Kumarapala, is famous for its beautiful carvings on pillars, domes, and brackets. You’ll also visit Idar to explore historical sites and enjoy its natural beauty, including the Idar Fort, and stunning rock formations and temples. In the afternoon, you'll arrive at Vijaynagar. Later, you’ll visit nearby villages to explore the tribal belts on the borders of Gujarat and Rajasthan.

The fourth day involves a full-day visit around Vijaynagar. Located on the foothills of the Aravali Hills and surrounded by dense forests, Vijaynagar is home to many wild animals, including panthers, sloth bears, and hyenas, and boasts over 200 varieties of birds, making it a haven for bird watchers. You can explore more than 20 ancient Jain and Shiv temples dating back to the 15th century, a treat for those fond of ancient art and architecture. Vijaynagar is also considered a paradise for painters, with its scenic beauty and rich history. The overnight stay will be at the palace.

In the morning, you will leave for Zainabad/Dasada. En route, you'll visit the magnificent Sun Temple at Modhera, an architectural marvel dedicated to the Sun God, featuring intricate carvings and a stunning stepwell. Next, you'll explore the historic city of Patan, renowned for its exquisite Patola Silk weaving tradition and the famous Rani Ki Vav, a UNESCO-listed stepwell known for its intricate sculptures. In the evening, you'll arrive at the breathtaking Little Rann of Kutch (Zainabad/Dasada), where you can visit nearby villages to experience local culture and, if time permits, explore a traditional salt farm. Your overnight stay will be in charming, rustic huts, offering an authentic experience of the region.

Day six includes an exciting game drive in the Little Rann of Kutch, where you'll have the chance to spot the rare and endangered Asiatic wild ass in its natural habitat. This experience is subject to the Monsoon season, and if there is heavy rain, the visit may not be recommended due to challenging terrain conditions. However, in the event of unfavorable weather, an alternative plan will take you to the nearby villages around the Little Rann of Kutch, where you can explore local culture, traditions, and craftsmanship. After an eventful day, you'll unwind with an overnight stay in the traditional huts, offering a unique and immersive experience.

In the morning, you will depart for Bhuj, an ancient walled city with maze-like streets and intricate crenellated gateways. In the afternoon, you'll visit the Ferguson Museum and Rao Pragmalji’s Palace, a stunning structure made of marble and sandstone. You’ll return to the hotel in the evening for an overnight stay. Note: A permit is required for access to the interior villages, and assistance with the procedure will be provided.

The eighth day is dedicated to exploring the tribal villages, each specializing in unique forms of handicraft. You'll discover the intricate art of Ahir embroidery, learn about the traditional methods of block printing passed down through generations, and experience the vibrant process of tie and dye, showcasing the region’s rich craftsmanship.

You will drive to Jamnagar. In the afternoon, you'll visit the princely states of Saurashtra, often referred to as Choti Kashi or Banaras due to its numerous Hindu and Jain temples, explore a Muslim dargah, and discover the region's famous tie-and-dye work on fabrics, along with exquisite silken and gold embroidery. The overnight stay will be at the hotel.

In the morning, you will depart for Dwarka. You'll visit the Dwarkadheesh Temple (Jagat Mandir), located on the north bank of the Gomti Creek and dating back over 2,500 years. You’ll explore the architectural marvel of the temple, built with the same plan and system as other ancient Hindu temples, admire the sixty columns supporting the roof of the audience hall, and view the one-meter tall, four-handed black Idol of Ranchhodrai. You’ll also visit the Rukmini Temple, dedicated to Lord Krishna's wife, and learn about Dwaraka’s history as the seat of Adi Shankaracharya. The afternoon includes a suggested visit to Bet Dwarka, a nearby island. The overnight stay will be at the hotel.

After breakfast, you will drive to Junagadh. En route, you'll visit Porbandar, the birthplace of Mahatma Gandhi, and explore Kirti Mandir, which showcases Gandhi’s philosophy. You'll then proceed to Junagadh, historically the capital of the Junagadh State, located at the foothills of the sacred Girnar Hill. You'll visit the two fortifications surrounding the town: the fort walls and Uparkot. Key sites to visit include Buddhist caves, Baba Pyara caves (2nd century), Adi-Kadi Vav, and Jami Masjid. The evening includes a visit (if time permits) and an overnight stay at the hotel.

Following breakfast, you will visit the Junagadh Sightseeing. If you opt to visit Girnar Temples, be prepared for a 4-5 hour visit covering over 10,000 steps (optional lift chairs are available at an extra cost). Later, you'll proceed to Bhavnagar. Bhavnagar, founded by Bhavsinhji Gohil, is located on the scenic Gulf of Kambhat (Cambay) and is known for its picturesque beauty, world-famous temples, and monumental edifices. Upon arrival, you will check in and enjoy an overnight stay at the hotel.

After breakfast, you will go for a full-day visit to Palitana, one of India’s most picturesque pilgrim centers, located at the foot of Shatrunjaya Hill. The site features 863 exquisitely carved temples, built in marble over a span of nine hundred years, and is a significant symbol of Jainism. The visit to Palitana includes a climb of 3500 steps, taking about 4-5 hours (lift chairs are available at an extra cost). Afterward, you'll return to Bhavnagar for a city tour, which includes visits to Gaurishankar Lake, Takhteshwar Temple, and the Lock Gate. Enjoy an overnight stay in Bhavnagar.

After breakfast, you will proceed to Ahmedabad. On the way, you'll visit Lothal, one of the southernmost outposts of the Indus Valley Civilization. You'll explore Lothal, an example of Harappan town planning with its impressive dockyard, citadel, residential quarters, workshops, and factories, and marvel at the complex's advanced sanitary drainage system. You'll also visit the museum that showcases archaeological finds from the Indus Valley period. You'll arrive in Ahmedabad in the evening, where you can enjoy the rest of the day at leisure and indulge in last-minute shopping. The overnight stay will be at the hotel.
