- Day 02 DelhiAfter Breakfast sight seeing of Old and New Delhi. You will be also visiting largest mosque Jama MasjId, built by the Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan in the 17th Century, also visit Raj Ghat and Shanti Vana – Cremation sites of Mahatma Gandhi and Jawaharlal Nehru. Drive past Chandini Chowk, once an imperial avenue down which Shah Jahan rode at the head of lavish cavalcades and jams composed of every type of vehicle imaginable. Then view the massive walls and ramparts of the magnificent Red Fort, symbol of Mughal power and elegance, built in 1648. In the City tour you will visit the India Gate, the PresIdent’s Palace, the pre-Mughal monuments, tomb of the Mughal Emperor Humayun, Qutub Minar, Red fort. The city is built in a typically British colonial style with tree-lined avenues, colonial bungalows, the Parliament House, the War Memorial Arch and the Vice Regal Palace, now the official resIdence of the PresIdent of India. - Day 07 KovalamMorning proceed for a sightseeing tour of Thiruananthapuram, derived from Thiru- Anantha-Puram is believed to be the abode of Anantha, the sacred serpent on which Lord Vishnu reclines. A towering gopuram majestically rising above a red-tiled skyline marks the site of the age old Sri-Padmanabhaswamy Temple dedicated to Lord Vishnu. This seven-storey gopuram reflected in the placId temple pool, is a fine specimen of DravIdian architectural style. Also visit Napier Museum with its priceless collection of bronzes. Within the museum compound is the Chitralayam Art Gallery displaying its collection of Indian and foreign paintings. The Trivandrum public park has on its grounds the Natural History Museum.
