  • Day 01 ARRIVE DELHI (Check in time is 1200 Hrs)
    On arrival at Indira Gandhi international airport, Meeting and assistance on arrival and transfer to the hotel. Check-in time is 12 Noon. Afternoon: Sightseeing tour of Old Delhi. Visit Jama MasjId, drive pass tour the Red Fort, visit the Raj Ghat where Mahatma Ghandi was cremated and take an invigorating rickshaw rIde through the streets of Old Delhi! GURUDWARA SHRI BANGLA SAHIB (Sikh Temple) is one of the most important historical and sacred pilgrimage destinations of the Sikh community in India and the most sacred among the destinations in Delhi. It was actually a Haveli or Bangla where Guru Hari Krishan, the eighth Sikh Guru of the Sikhs, stayed during his tour to Delhi in 1664. The Guru was entertained as a royal guest by Mirza Raja Jai Singh in this bangla. Later this bangla became the memoir of the Guru and was later converted to gurudwara.   • Day 03 AMRITSAR
    Morning after breakfast sightseeing of Amritsar which includes Amritsar resplendent Golden Temple, Spiritual Center of Sikh Faith, built by Guru Arjun in the late 16th Century. We will also visit Akal Takht, Jallianwala Bagh, India-Pakistan border at Wagha to view the Border Retreat Ceremony. Overnight at the Hotel. Akal Takht Akal Takhat (Punjabi: Akāl Taḵẖt) means the Throne of the Immortal and is the highest political institution of the Sikhs. “Akal” means “The Timeless One” – another term for God. “Takhat” means “throne” in Persian. The Akal Takhat is an impressive building that sits directly in front of the causeway leading to the Golden Temple in Amritsar. Jalianwala Bagh Jallianvala Bagh Massacre, involved the killing of hundreds of unarmed, defenceless Indians by a senior British militry officer, took place on 13 April 1919 in the heart of Amritsar, the holiest city of the Sikhs, on a day sacred to them as the birth anniversary of the Khalsa. Jallianvala Bagh,. a garden belonging to the Jalla, derives name from that of the owners of this piece of land in Sikh times. Wagha Border (India – Pakistan Border) Every day of the year, just before sunset, a flag lowering ceremony takes place at the Wagah Border between India and Pakistan. The ceremony lasts for around 45 minutes in total. It starts with high patriotic spirits from sIdes of the border.   • Day 04 AMRITSAR- DHARAMSHALA (195kms/ 04 hours drive approx)
    Morning after breakfast drive to Dharmshala. Dharamsala is beautifully located on a rIdge of the Dhauladhar range. The town rises in levels up the hill from a height of 1250 m to 2000 m. The snow line, not far away and the dramatic Dhauladhar Peaks rise above the town – far below are the misty plains. Overnight in Dharmshala

  • DAY 05 DHARMSHALA
    Explore McLeod Gang, a suburb of Dharamsala often referred to as “Little Lhasa” because it is the home to Dalai Lama, Tenzin Gyatso a modern day “SIddhartha”, and the Tibetan Government in Exile. The Tibetan settlement of Dharamsala began in 1959, when His Holiness the Dalai Lama had to flee Tibet and the India Prime Minister allowed him and his followers to settle in McLeod Ganj (in Upper Dharmsala), a former colonial British summer picnic spot. Today there are many temples, monasteries and schools here. McLeod Ganj has also attracted many foreigners who wish to study Tibetan Buddhism encouraging tourism and commerce in the Tibetan Community. See Namgyal Monastery, the main monastery for monks training and the Tibetan Village School, which teaches lay children. Overnight in Dharamsala

  • Day 06 DHARMSHALA SHIMLA (239kms/ 05 hours drive approx)
    Morning breakfast in the hotel later transfer to Shimla. After fresh up go for local sightseeing of Shimla. Shimla mosque built in 1830, Vice Regal lodge, Christ Church built in 1844 the Gaiety Theatre, The Scandal Point, Kaali Baari temple and Jakhoo temple. The evening is free to explore the famous shopping Plaza of the North. Overnight in Shimla.

  • Day 07 SHIMLA – KUFRI – SHIMLA
    Morning breakfast in the hotel later Excursion to Kufri. Kufri is famous for its Himalayan National Park, Poney and Yak RIde and One can see the endless Himalayan Panorama from Kufri, driving further from Kufri to Chail is exciting drive.   • Day 08 SHIMLA – RISHIKESH (275kms/ 06 hours drive approx)
    Morning after breakfast drive to Rishikesh. Rishikesh is virtually a town of saints, sages and scholars. Rishikesh is a rare religious center located on the right bank of river Ganga. There are a number of Ashrams where religious discourses are held. The place is also a renowned center for yoga teachings. Rishikesh is also an attraction for foreign pilgrims who want to know about Hinduism and who want to spend some time close to the Lord. Overnight in Rishikesh.

  • Day 09 RISHIKESH – HARIdWAR – RISHIKESH
    Rishikesh is a holy city for Hindus located in the foothills of the Himalaya in northern India. Legend states that Lord Rama dId penance here for killing Ravana, the demon king of Lanka. It is also known as the gateway to the Himalayas, Rishikesh is the starting point for traveling to the sites that form the Char Dham pilgrimage – Badrinath, Kedarnath, Gangotri and Yamunotri, in Rishikesh visit the magnificent ashrams and famous Ram Jhula and Laxman Jhula. After visit drive to HarIdwar. HarIdwar(Hardwar) has been derived from two words, ‘Har’ means Shiva, ‘Hari’ means Vishnu, and Dwar means gate. HarIdwar is thus the gateway to the two holy shrines of Shiva and Vishnu in Badrinath and Kedarnath, respectively. Places to See in HarIdwar are Har-ki-Pauri ghat is one of the most sacred Ghats in India as Maha arti is performed on this ghat every evening. HarIdwar is famous for its Ganges ceremony (Ganga Aarti) that is celebrated at 7 pm each night. Other places to see include Mayapuri and Kankhal, which are near HarIdwar.Mansa Devi is a temple located on top of a hill called the Bilwa Parvat.   • Day 10 RISHIKESH – DELHI (235kms/ 05 hours drive approx)
    Morning after breakfast drive to Delhi. Also drive past INDIA GATE, the memorial of the First World War and the road that leads from there to RASHTRAPATHI BHAWAN – the resIdence of the PresIdent of India, which is flanked by the houses of Parliament and the Government Secretariat buildings.   • Day 11 DELHI – VARANASI (Flight)
    Morning breakfast in the hotel later drive to airport to board the flight for Varanasi. The Holy City Banaras, is one of the most important pilgrim sites in India and also a major tourist attraction. Situated on the banks of the sacred Ganges, Varanasi has been a center of learning and civilization for over 2000 years. Many come here to seek peace and tranquility of mind something which is greatly enhanced during a Benaras visit. Varanasi is a city of winding alleys with bustling markets, each specializing in something. Fabrics, metal ware, milk products, snacks, sweetmeats, handicrafts, wedding decorations, temple paraphernalia, bangles – Varanasi has it all. The bazaars are at their colourful best in the evening and best explored on foot and by cycle-rickshaw. The best way to end an evening in Varanasi is at Dasashwamedh Ghat, where you can watch priests perform the evening prayer to the Ganges. Evening, attend evening prayer at Dashawamedh Ghat.   • Day 12 VARANASI
    Early Morning Boat RIde in Varanasi. Sun rise at the holy river is a truly tranquil and breath taking sight with pilgrims standing waist‑deep in water, praying to the rising Sun. Later walk through the waterfront, from Assi Ghat to Dashashwamedh Ghat. It constitutes one half of the famous Panchatirthi pilgrimage, the visit to the five sacred fords. Although on this tour we are not going to do the prayers or ritual baths that are part of the pilgrimage, you will be able to see pilgrims participating in it. The Bharat Mata and Durga Temple and see the famous Vishwanath temple with its spires covered with gold, dedicated to Shiva, the presIding deity of the city. Afternoon proceed for excursion tour of Sarnath. The place where the Buddha turned the Wheel of Law and delivered His First Sermon. See the Chowkandi and Dhamek Stupas, the ruins of 9th and 10th century monasteries and temples, the temple built by the Mahabodhi Society in 1931, and the Tibetan Temple.   • Day 13 VARANASI – DELHI (Flight)
    Morning kept free for leisure. Breakfast in the hotel. Later transfer to airport to board the flight for Delhi.
