After breakfast, embark on a full-day guided sightseeing tour of Kathmandu, often called Kantipur or the “City of Glory.” Visit key landmarks including Kumari Ghar, home to the Living Goddess, Kasthamandap, the Big Bell, and Kal Bhairab. Continue to the iconic Swayambhunath Stupa, a sacred Buddhist site perched on a hill with panoramic views of the Kathmandu Valley. Enjoy lunch at a quality international restaurant. In the afternoon, explore the revered Pashupatinath Temple, one of the holiest Hindu shrines, and the majestic Boudhanath Stupa, the largest in Nepal. After an early breakfast, take a scenic flight from Kathmandu to Lukla (2,827 m), the gateway to the Everest short trek package. Upon arrival, meet your trekking team and begin your trek northward. The trail descends to Chablung (2,700 m) and crosses the Tharo Kosi River via a suspension bridge. From here, enjoy your first glimpse of Kusum Kangru (6,367 m), one of the region's most challenging trekking peaks. The trail gently ascends toward Ghat (2,590 m), passing mani stones and prayer flags, before continuing on to Phakding, where you will spend the night. Total walking time is approximately 3 hours.

After breakfast in Phakding, begin your scenic trek along the Dudh Kosi River, passing through lush forests and traditional Sherpa villages. Cross several suspension bridges, including the famous Hillary Bridge, and enjoy stunning views of snow-capped peaks. The trail gradually ascends through rhododendron and pine forests, reaching the entrance of Sagarmatha National Park at Monjo, where your permits are checked. After a steep and challenging final climb, you’ll arrive at Namche Bazaar (3,420 m), the vibrant heart of the Khumbu region. From Khunde we follow the trail eastwards to Khumjung, the largest village in Khumbu, at the foot of the sacred peak Khumbila. After enjoying lunch here, we will follow a steep switchback trail descending to Chhorkung (3,540 m). From here, it is a quick descent back to Namche Bazaar (5 hrs). This enriching day helps you fully absorb the culture and terrain before continuing your Everest short trek.
